The DC Metro Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (DCMAND) is an affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, which is the world’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals.

DCMAND is composed of more than 365 highly skilled, multi-talented professionals and students in the DC Metro Area that are committed to improving the nation’s health and advancing the profession of dietetics through research, education, and advocacy.

Our members represent a wide range of practice areas and interests, including, but not limited to public health, medical nutrition therapy, sports nutrition, food service management, education, research, policy, and communications.
